On August 9th, 2014 I plan on running across Carteret County, North Carolina.  I will start at the Eastern-most point, which is at the Cedar Island Ferry, and run West along highway 70 and 24 to the Cedar Point/Swansboro Bridge, which is the Western-most point of the county.  Here is a link to a google maps I have setup showing my exact route with approximate times:
