Ramsey Cascades Trail

Submitted by Drew Ramboer on Mon, 12/29/2025 - 06:26pm
Description

The trail begins and ends at the Ramsey Cascades Trailhead parking lot, which is just a flat clearing large enough for 10 or 15 cars. The first part of the trail being an old logging road, it is wide and slopes gently. Once the remnants of the road ends, the trail is quite steep and somewhat technical as far as class 1 trails go, with lots of roots and rocks.

Description

Taking on the extent of the Kent Thames Path that runs from outside Dartford to All Hallows and the London Stone marking the end of the jurisdiction of the City of London.

En route you will see dramatic engineering, such as the Dartford bridge and a footpath that leaps over a chasm, quirky objects, such as an abacus in a scrapyard wall and a home made war memorial, historic buildings and wild open spaces. Almost always you will be accompanied by the mighty Thames at its most majestic and awesome.
