The Black Mesa Loop is a moderately challenging route in the Superstition Wilderness, offering breathtaking views of Weaver's Needle and the surrounding mountains. The easiest access to the route is via First Water Trailhead, from which there is a .3 mile access trail that will bring you to the start of the route. The FKT route starts at the Dutchman's Trail (#104) junction and follows the trail for 3.9 miles south. At the Black Mesa Trail (#241) junction, turn left (northwest) and continue for 3 miles. This will be
