The Höllengebirge Überschreitung is a challenging and scenic hiking route in the Salzkammergut region of Austria. This trail traverses the Höllengebirge mountain range, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes and peaks. This loop begins and ends at the Paradise Inn located in Mt. Rainier National Park. It is approximately 13.4 miles long with 5100 feet of vertical gain and some class 3 climbing/scrambles.  This parking lot fills up very quickly so it's advised to go early in the day. Start on the Skyline Trail heading in a NE direction past Myrtle Falls. Continue on this trail until you come to Mazama Ridge Trail where you will turn right. Continue past Louise Lake lookout spot. You will meet up with the Wonderland Trail. Turn left here.
