Description

The Wild Goose State Trail was created as Wisconsin’s first “cooperative” State trail and is maintained and operated by Dodge and Fond du Lac counties. This 34 mile compacted limestone trail on an abandoned railroad grade traverses oak woodlots, fertile farm fields, prairie remnants and sparkling streams as it runs through the rural country sides of Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties, The trail skirts the western edge of the internationally known Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge (world-famous home to over 250 migrant bird species).
