New Mexico 12,000' Peaks
The Rocky Mountains don't end at the Colorado border as many people believe, they stretch far into the "flat" dry desert of New Mexico. There are 37 peaks over 12,000 feet in the Land of Enchantment, and 3 of those are above 13,000 ft. (peaks with 300ft of generous prominence). This route is comprised of 29 peaks in total, as eight peaks are on private property and are inaccessible to most or all. (Do not trespass to do the other peaks.) Many of the peaks are not easily accessible and require traveling some distance to reach, especially throughout the Pecos wilderness.
Kilpisjärvi-Halti-Kilpisjärvi Kalottireittiä
A popular hiking route starting from Kilpisjärven luontokeskus parking lot. A trail called Kalottireitti takes you to highest point of Finland Halti 1365 MSL on mappoint 303b right on the border between Finland and Norway. Return by reversing the route.
Cove to Cove via Crown Mt
A longer variation of the original Cove to Cove that begins in Porteau Cove Provincial Park and ends in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. Like the shorter rout this starts in Porteau Cove and follows the Sea to Sky highway for roughly 2km to the Howe Sound Crest Trail. It then takes the Howe Sound Crest Trail to Cypress Bowl (taking in Brunswick Mountain along the way) and connects to the Baden Powell trail.
