The idea for this route was born out of R2R2R in the Grand Canyon. Palo Duro Canyon is the 2nd largest canyon in the United States needed a good FKT and this is fitting as it not only goes R2R2R but throws in the famous Lighthouse rock formation as well, giving the runner a tour of the canyon like no other.

The route attached here is simply an example, not the actual route. This follows the well known concept for islands : start at any beach, and finish at the highest point on the island. You can take any available road or trail to get there on foot.

I recently completed this route in February of 2023, and as far as I know this is the first completion. Please correct me if someone else has already done this, and please try it out for yourself. It was a very fun adventure.

Ons Kloosterpad is een wandelroute langs vijftig (voormalige) kloosters en abdijen en de prachtige natuur rondom in de oostelijk helft van Noord-Brabant. De route is in 2021 geopend en bestaat uit 15 etappewandelingen van klooster naar klooster. Er is zelfs een aantal kloosters waar je ook kunt overnachten. Ons Kloosterpad loopt via het officiële wandelknooppuntennetwerk.
