The Albany Riverfront Trail is an out & back route in Albany, GA. According to the AllTrails app, the total distance is 5.4 miles and the total elevation gain is 134 ft. Too short for a one-way FKT option, so out & back attempts only. The northern terminus is at Cox Landing Park where the parking lot ends and the paved trail begins. The southern terminus is where the paved trail starts/ends right in front of S Fourth St. The trail is easy to follow, paved the entire way, moderately shaded, and currently has 4.1 stars on the AllTrails site.

This route is a West-East traverse over Mt. Kenya, starting at the Met Station Gate (3,050m), following the trail up to Mt. Kenya's highest summit reachable without climbing gear, Point Lenana (4,985 m), and then back down over the eastern side of the mountain ending at Chogoria Gate (2,950m). The trail starts in the forest and then emerges out of the tree line to cover an incredible array of flora and passes by one of the mountain's last and tragically small glaciers.
