I'll be making an unsupported attempt on the Crosstown Trail on the morning of Sunday May 24th to establish and submit a women's unsupported time for this FKT route. Per strava the fastest women's time for the "CROSSTOWN TRAIL SF (correct route as per cue sheet)" is currently held by Amanda Webb in 3:48:08. I will be getting a ride out to the start and running northbound back across the city. I'll report back after!Â
Ran the route starting just before 7:00am this morning northbound from candlestick point. Ending at the visitor center above Cliff House in a time of 2:04:43. Perfect morning out!Â
My name is Jared Forman and tomorrow morning I will attempt to set a new unsupported male FKT on the Crosstown Trail in the traditional Northbound direction. I plan to depart around 7am. I will report back if all goes well!
I was fortunate to set a new unsupported FKT of 1:43:41 on the Crosstown Trail this morning! What a beautiful journey from a peaceful sunrise at an empty Candlestick Point to the busy Coastal Trail at Land’s End!
looks like Jared got it! https://www.strava.com/activities/4434014057
(weirdly his comment saying so did not appear above until I left mine :( ) congrats!
Thanks Chris! If you or others are considering the route, I would recommend we get the GPX file updated in the description above which has numerous wrong turns and double-backs.
