Lucia’s Round
Lucia’s round - 22km with 1740m ascent, summiting the tops visible from Lucia’s cafe in Grasmere.
The route starts at Lucia’s cafe in Grasmere village centre before heading up Stone Arthur, Great Rigg and Fairfield, the highest point of the day, standing at 873m. Descend Fairfield towards Seat Sandal and you will get a wonderful view of Grisedale tarn (weather permitting).
After climbing Seat Sandal, there is a lovely descent down the other side, before the short climb up Helm Crag. Continue on to Easdale Tarn, one of the most popular walking routes from Grasmere.

Seven Lakes Loop (ID)
Beautiful loop trail passing several high mountain lakes as well as a back country natural hot springs. Easy access out of the Wilderness Gateway Campground. You will likely run into some folks coming into/out of the hotsprings, but after the first five miles you are almost guaranteed to be solo!

Wallowa River Loop
Awesome loop trail in the Eagle Cap Wilderness area with beautiful high mountain lakes. You will usually encounter a couple backpackers, but after the first eight miles it is mostly solitary running. Great loop for single female trail runners because it isn't overly used, but you do usually encounter a few other people which can be helpful if you are apprehensive about getting out there solo!
