Description

This route follows Europe's second largest river, the Danube, from the Black Sea coast at Sulina in Romania, to the source in Donaueschingen, Germany near the Black Forest.

It passes through eight countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany), four capital cities (Belgrade, Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava). A real mix of terrain, it follows roads, trails, off-road river paths, paved dyke roads, over bridges and border crossings, through tiny remote villages and towns and major cities.

Description

The route "Wind Rose of Elbrus" runs along the highest mountain in Russia and Europe.

It combines four classic routes: from the North, South, West and East.

The beginning and end of the route is located in the South of the mountain at an altitude of 3880 meters near the station "Gara-Bashi".

44 kilometers long and 7350 meters of climb. An unrealistically cool set for such a distance and for such heights.

The minimum height of the route is 3750, the height is 5642 meters. The most difficult, highest and most dangerous marathon in Russia.
