Description

This is the most beautiful trail in the Seacoast of New Hampshire. It follows a network of beaver ponds from Durham, NH, to the shores of the Great Bay estuary. The route is well marked, and it starts and ends at the red gate at the end of Longmarsh Road in Durham (there is a small parking lot there). The turnaround point is the southern terminus of the Sweet Trail at the Great Bay estuary and is marked with a granite tablet honoring Cyrus and Barbara Sweet.

Description

The idea behind this FKT is simple: a competitive and logical route, that starts at the church nearest the first summit above 1300m, then traverses the “cretes vosgiennes”via highest peaks (14 summits over 1300m), and finishes at the church closest to the final summit.

Below is the list of 14 Vosges summits above 1300m that the route links:

1. Grand Ballon 1423m

2. Storkenkopf 1366m

3. Hohneck 1363m

4. Kastelberg 1350m

5. Klintzkopf 1329m

6. Rothenbachkopf 1316m

7. Lauchenkopf 1314m

8. Batteriekopf 1311m

Description

The Caminho da Fé (Path of Faith), inspired by the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, was created to support pilgrims traveling to the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida in São Paulo, Brazil. The Borborema–Aparecida branch is one of the official start routes, beginning in Borborema (SP) and extending to the Basilica in Aparecida. It crosses the Serra da Mantiqueira by way of rural towns, mountain roads, and forest trails.
