Description

A quick(loop) tour of 2 gorges,6 Significant Water falls in ~ 14 miles

 

Clockwise from Horsetail Falls Trailhead:

Horsetail Falls Trail head to Gorge 400/Horsetail Falls Trail 438 intersect (~Mile .25)

Turn right and follow Horsetail Falls Trail 438 passing Ponytail Falls and crossing the bridge over Lower Oneonta Falls (~Mile 1.2)

Left at Oneonta Trail 424 and follow passing Triple Falls and crossing two bridges (~ mile 3)

Sea to Summit - Sognefjorden to Galdhøpiggen

Description

This is the shortest route for hike/trail run from Sea level to the highest mountain in Norway. The route consists of paved road/gravel road for the first 20 kms, then trail marked by "Turistforeningen" /DNT with red painted T's. The route passes Fanaråken, with the highest located Mountain hut in Norway (2068 m asl.) On clear days this top gives an astonishing view of western part of Jotunheimen. Then the path descends and crosses Jotunheimen via paths, visiting Leirvassbu and Spiterstulen before the final ascent to Galdhøpiggen.

Lake Sevan Loop

Description

The Sevan Lake Loop is a very popular route in Armenia, yet is mostly done by road cyclists but this addition here at FKT will be for walking / running attempts. The route follows the edge of the lake for its entirety, and is fully connected. The Lake Sevan is a high-altitude lake located on 1900 meters, is also the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in the world.
