This is a route that begins and ends at the Cimarron National Grassland Recreation Area. It circles the main part of Cimarron National Grassland by dirt road, with a little running on asphalt on both the east and west side of the loop. There is wildlife and cattle all throughout the loop. There are several outlooks over the Cimarron River, and there are several times that you cross the Santa Fe Trail. If you travel off of the loop 3 miles towards the West, you will reach Point of Rocks, which is the second highest location in Kansas.
