Description

The Kitsap Peninsula is the second largest peninsula in Washington State (trailing only the Olympic Peninsula) and one of the largest in the continental U.S. 

The traverse connects the southern tip (Longbranch on the Key Peninsula) with the northern tip (Foulweather Bluff in Hansville).

Vashon Island Traverse (WA)

Description

Vashon Island is one of the largest islands in the continental U.S.

The Vashon Island Traverse is a run from the island's southern to northern terminus (or vice versa). 

Route begins at the Tahlequah ferry terminal and heads north on Vashon Highway 13.8 miles to the north-end ferry terminal.  

 

 

Elroy-Sparta State Trail (WI)

The Elroy Sparta trail is a beautiful trail through central Wisconsin.  It is a mostly crushed limestone multi-use trail that is popular for bikes.  It is a former train route that has long train tunnels where bikers & runners need headlamps.  

 

Lakeland 24 Peaks Challenge (United Kingdom)

This route was designed as a fundraising challenge for the mentoring charity Chapter2 (http://www.chapter2.org.uk/). Completed within 24 hours, it is a gruelling hike through England’s highest mountains leading you from Honister Pass to St John’s in the Vale. The route incorporates 24 Lakeland peaks above 2000 feet with 4 peaks above 3000 feet.
