Originally part of the UltraPedestrian Wilderness Challenge. The Ancient Lakes "Touch All The Lakes" Challenge is a lake bagging challenge in the Quincy Lakes unit of the Columbia Basin Wildlife Area. The goal is to design your own route to touch all 20 of the named lakes in the Ancient Lakes area. These 20 named lakes are the four lakes which make up Ancient Lake, Judith Pool, H Lake, Stan Coffin Lake, Flat Lake, Quincy Lake, Burke Lake, Evergreen Reservoir, Cree Lake, Dot Lake, Crystal Lake, the two Spring Lakes, Cup Lake, Cascade Lake, Cliff Lake, and Dusty Lake.

Lake Union is a Seattle landmark and namesake of several neighborhoods and streets in the city. A glacial lake, Lake Union’s basin was dug 12,000 years ago by the Vashon Glacier, which also created Lake Washington and Green Lake. Runners have been running around Lake Union for generations. The Lake Union Loop requires a full circumnavigation of the lake using the Fremont Bridge (western terminus) and University Bridge (eastern terminus) but runners may use any of the numerous paths and side streets to complete the loop.

Here's your chance to embark on a journey endured by former President General Ulysses G. Grant himself. You will literally retrace the exact trails that are still very much intact today that were utilized by Grant and his Soldiers as they advanced to attack Fort Donaldson on a pleasant day in Feb of 1862, a day that would go from warm and sunny to brutally cold, rainy and snowy within 24 hours.
