Description

Absolutely stunning route with an excellent combination of everything that makes a trail run in SWBC fun. Steep climbs, rolling forest paths and meadows, creek crossings, a bit of routefinding and excellent scrambling to top it all off. Also its only 30 minutes from Squamish and any vehicle can park right at the trailhead.

If timed right you wont have to cross any snow on route, there will be minimal bugs and you’ll run into minimal people until the descent. You'll find plenty of water on route to refill.

Description

This route is the straighest line linking the sea to the highest point of the Versilia region, Pania della Croce, a peak of theApuan Alps. It starts at the Forte dei Marmi pier and it follows the provincial road (or parallel road) through the villages of Forte dei Marmi, Querceta, Ripa, Seravezza and Ruosina. At Ruosina the rout turns left and enters in the Giardino valley, continuing to Cansoli, where the trail section begins.
