Battlefields and Borderlands Way (United Kingdom)
This circular 42 mile route has been developed by two local history and walking enthusiasts. The route can be broken down into nine short sections, details which can be found in the accompanying guidebook.
The subject area of this route is best known for the Battle of Bosworth, which saw the death of Richard III and the rise of the Tudor dynasty in 1485, but so much more has happened here over the past 2000 years, as the borderland of the East and West Midlands was caught up in countless national challenges and changes.

River Greta Source to Mouth (United Kingdom)
The River Greta rises in the Pennines and drains Spittal Ings, Roper Castle (or Round Table) and Beldoo Moss to the east of Moudy Mea, before running east through Stainmore Forest. The trail starts at the tributary from Black Riggs and runs down from the high Pennines down through Bowes, where, close to the site of the Roman fort of Lavatris it is crossed by the Pennine Way. It then flows down through Teesdale north of The Stang Forest, through historic church sites at Brignall and on to Greta Bridge hamlet.
