A fun lap around Washington DC connecting several parks together throughout the city (Rock Creek Park, Reservation 630, Glover Archbold Park, Whitehaven Parkway and Dumbarton Oaks Park).  The majority of this route is actually a trail run, with the last several miles being on paved multi use paths.  To start, begin at the trail marker sign post at Bluff Bridge and head south on the pathway to pick up the trail which will be located on your right.  Not all of the paths and directional changes on the route are going to be marked, so make sure to know the map well and where your turns will be.

The Zagros Mountain Trail travels through the beautiful Kurdistan region of northern Iraq from the village of Shush to the foot of Mount Halgurd near Choman. You might think of Iraq as a desert land devoid of plant and animal life. But the mountainous region in the north breaks this stereotype. Mount Halgurd rises 3607 meters (11,834 feet) and holds snow even in the peak of summer. The region contains numerous historical sites dating back thousands of years.

Für alle, denen Mount Everest, Mont Blanc oder Denali zu hoch und anspruchsvoll sind, gibt es im Bayerischen Wald nun eine „gemütlichere“ Alternative: die „Seven Summits Bodenmais“. Die Wanderung vereint die sieben schönsten Gipfel rund um den heilklimatischen Kurort. 47 Kilometer und 1862 Höhenmeter gilt es für Wandernde zu bezwingen.

Die Tour wurde 2023 bei der Publikumswahl zu „Deutschlands schönsten Wanderwegen“, welche von der renommierten Fachzeitschrift „Wandermagazin“ durchgeführt wird, in der Kategorie „Mehrtagestouren“ auf den 2. Platz gewählt.
