Description

The Gudbrandsdalsleden is the historic pilgrimage trail from Oslo to Trondheim, spanning approximately 643–650 km across Norway’s forests, farmland, valleys, and high mountain terrain, including the Dovrefjell plateau. The trail follows the traditional medieval route taken by pilgrims to the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim.

The route is fully waymarked and documented by Pilegrimsleden.no. It consists of footpaths, gravel roads, forest trails, and some paved sections. Most thru-hikers complete the route in 3–4 weeks.

Puszcza Pyzdrska loop(125 km)

Dear FKT Team,

I'd like to propose an exciting new route for a Fastest Known Time (FKT) record in Poland: the 125-kilometer (77.7-mile) loop around the Pyzdry Forest ( Puszcza Pyzdrska)

This route offers a unique challenge for ultra-runners, thanks to its incredibly diverse character:

Via Claudia Augusta Altinate Route

Description

This is the Via Claudia Augusta: one of the most Ancient roads traversing the Alps in existence, used as a trade and military route and constructed by the Romans in the early centuries A.D. It weaves through ancient mining sites, farmland, alpine dwellings, monasteries and castles alike, all which were constructed in part due to the close proximity to this route. It is important to me as a trail runner, mountain lover and Christian, since the path is the intersection of these three.
