Glyndŵr’s Way is one of the 16 National Trails of England and Wales. The route is named after Owain Glyndŵr, the 15th century warrior/statesman who attempted to establish an independent Welsh nation. The route is not mountainous but is very, as it circles through the remote and lightly populated areas of mid Wales associated with Owain Glyndŵr. The route starts in the small town of Knighton, heads west into deepest Wales into the hills before circling back to Welshpool, situated on the English border

This route circles the central Chew Valley in Somerset County. Maes Knoll, one of the peaks, is an iron age hill fort dating back to 250 BC, which provides commanding views across the Chew Valley to the Mendip Hills in the south, central Bristol to the north, the outskirts of Bath and the Cotswolds to the east, and across the River Severn into Wales to the northwest. There is no defined start / finish point - anywhere along the loop is fine.
