The Icknield Way is unique among long distance tracks because it can claim to be "the oldest road in Britain". The ancient route consists of prehistoric pathways, old when the Romans came. Dotted with archaeological remains, it survives as splendid tracks and green lanes along the chalk "spine" of England.

The Icknield Way Path runs from the end of the Ridgeway Path at Ivinghoe Beacon, near Tring, to the start of the Peddar's Way at Knettishall Heath, near Thetford, for 110 miles.

Steens Mountain is in the southeastern part of the Oregon, and is a large fault-block mountain, located in Harney County and it stretches some 50 miles (80 km) north to south, and rises from alongside the Alford Desert at elevation of about 4,200 feet (1,300 m) to a summit elevation of 9,733 feet (2,967 m). It is sometimes confused with a mountain range, but is properly a single mountain.

The Miner’s Way Trail winds its way through the picturesque countryside of East Kent, linking together the old coalfield parishes of East Kent and passing through pretty villages, small farmsteads, grand country estates and the remains of this area's industrial and mining heritage.

This long distance footpath which follows the course of the River Stour in Kent. The route passes through some of Kent's most important nature sites and most historic, unspoilt villages. The walk is waysigned with the logo of a heron. The route is of interest for its landscape and history, and for its archaeological, historical and architectural features. The walk passes through a varied landscape of downland, woodland, orchards, hop gardens and farmland; lakes, dykes and marshland; unspoilt villages and hamlets; and historic towns.

The route passes through some of Kent's finest landscapes, part of the nationally protected Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From the seaside bustle of Hythe, you pass through the beautiful Seabrook Valley, see the dramatic escarpment of the Downs, pass through unspoilt villages such as Elham, and the ornamental parklands and ancient woodlands near Barham, before heading towards the historic city of Canterbury and the cathedral.

The Brenda Parker Way (BPW) is a long distance path which crosses the North Hampshire Countryside. Starting and ending in the Hampshire towns of Aldershot and Andover, the BPW can be traversed in either an Easterly or Westerly direction. Whilst the route has a fairly low elevation profile it crosses around 127.9km of gorgeous English countryside, including meadows, fields, forests. Key highlights include running on the outer walls of the ancient Roman town of Calleva Atrebatum and passing through the Highclere Park, home to the famous Downton Abbey. 

The Maamturks Challange is a popular hiking route in Connamara and is considered one of the toughest hiking challenges in Ireland. It's location, being on the west coast of Ireland, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, is both spectacular and unpredictable with ever-changing weather patterns.
