Pyramid Peak (CO)
Pyramid Peak (14,018') has one of the more technical standard routes of any 14er in the state (Class 4), and is a perfect example of the sedimentary choss that makes up much of the Elk Range in the Aspen area. The standard route starts and finishes at the Maroon Lake parking lot, ascending either the NE (shown below) or NW ridge.
Eric Lee - Uncompahgre & Wetterhorn (CO) - 2013-06-27
Uncompahgre & Wetterhorn (CO)
Uncompahgre & Wetterhorn are two 14ers in the San Juan Range. They are quite remote, and climbing them together is generally considered a long day - maybe 18 miles with 6400' of elevation gain.
We include here as a Variation Bill Briggs' "Lake City High Five": Starting at the Uncompahgre trailhead (Nellie Creek) and finishing at the Handies trailhead (Grizzly Gulch), ascend Uncompahgre, Wetterhorn, Redcloud, Sunshine, and Handies Peaks. Open route.

Capitol-Snowmass (CO)
Capitol Peak and Snowmass Mtn are 14ers in the Elk Mountains. They are each individually long climbs, and though they are not that far apart, they are seldom climbed together.
