Description

Witness the sights and sounds of Wilson Creek along Brown Mountain Beach Road as you meander your way up to Mortimer and Edgemont along a gradual inclined crushed gravel road. After crossing the bridge at Edgemont, you'll begin a long 3 mile climb before hitting some rolling gravel towards Gragg where you’ll catch a brief glimpse of Grandfather Mountain before you make your way up to Pilot Ridge road. From here, you’ll begin the 1,200ft+ climb to Blowing Rock Highway, catch the brief downhill to the Asutsi trailhead, and begin the hardest section of the route.
