The Barnegat Out & Back is a running route covering the length of Long Beach Island out and back starting from and ending at the lighthouse at the Island's North point.  Start the route by touching the lighthouse.  From there, run to the South end of the island and touch the sand at the end of the parking lot (end of S Long Beach Blvd.).  Run back to Barnegat and touch the lighthouse again to complete the route.  Extra credit if you finish when the lighthouse is open and climb to the top on tired legs!

Sacagawea Direct

Description

Sacagawea Direct includes some low 5th class (5.0) moves, as well as plenty of 3rd and 4th class scrambling. The route starts and ends at the Fairy Lake Trailhead, and follows the Traditional Sac Peak trail for the descent. The crux of the route is the first slab of the fin, although the rock quality is good, this is no place for a fall. Continue climbing this fin until you exit the gully, then it is a short ridge walk to the summit. The Mountain Project page has more information as well.
