This route is a state trail for walking, biking, and running. It begins in Menomonie, Wisconsin at the Red Cedar State Trail Head sign.

The route goes almost directly south, primarily following the Red Cedar River, occasionally crossing the river with bridges.

The trail concludes shortly past the final bridge crossing the Chippewa river, at the junction between the Red Cedar State Trail and the Chippewa River Trail.

The route starts at Black Lake, at the Mountain Goat Statue. It takes the shortest marked trail to the summit of Bobotov Kuk and returns the same way.
The final section is technical, and there can be snow in some passages. There are fixed ropes near the top, and it can get crowded on good summer days.

Longyearbyen 10 Summits is an annual 24-hour challenge held the last weekend of August. The loop connects the most popular summits and hiking routes around Longyearbyen, following ridges, steep climbs and rocky plateaus - starting and ending at the "Gruvebus" statue in Longyearbyen town square. Every summit has its own cairn with a black postbox and a book that has to be signed as passing verification.
