The Heron Way (UK)

Description

The Heron way is a series of eight walks through pleasant countryside linking nature reserves, country parks, tourist sites, lovely villages and the best viewpoints mainly in the Doncaster Metropolitan Borough. Together these walks create a 30 mile leisure walk, designed primarily for walking in sections, or as a one or two day challenge walk readily accessible by public transport from Doncaster or by car.

Central Iowa 80 loop (IA)

Description

This loop starts in Ankeny Iowa and is a continuous bike trail loop going through Ankeny, Johnston, Grimes, Waukee, Dallas Center, Minburn, Perry, Bouton, Woodward, Madrid, Slater, and Sheldahl utilizing paved bike paths through each community with most of the route consisting of the very well known High Trestle Trail and Raccoon River Valley Trail.

You’ll be in the middle of the country for most of the route, however, the large amount of communities passed through make this a solid option for an unsupported, self supported, or supported attempt.

Saalferder Höhenweg (Saalfeld-Neuhaus am Rennweg)

Description

The "Saalfelder Höhenweg" trail connects the town of Saalfeld with the ridge of Rennsteig. From Saalfeld train station, the trail leads through the town center and continues afterwards uphill to the "Schwarmblick" viewpoint and onto the "Saalfelder Höhe". Passing the "Bankzeitweg" trail in Arnsgereuth, the "Silbersee" lake, and the "Rotschnabelaussicht" viewpoint in Reichmannsdorf, the trail reaches the Leipzig Tower in Schmiedefeld. From there, the final kilometers of the trail lead up to the main ridge of the Thuringian Forest.

AAT Dreznice - Tolmin

Description

The route starts in Drežnica, follows historic military paths through Triglav National Park and alpine pastures near Krn, passes several waterfalls, and ends in Tolmin by the confluence of the Soča and Tolminka rivers.

Mostly runable trails, parts on asphalt.

Keys 200

Description

This route starts at mile 0 - the Southern Most Point in the US in Key West and runs 100 miles to Key Largo (Mile Marker 100) and then returns to the Southern Most Point to cover a total of 200 miles over the scenic Oversees Highway. This run follows the old Flagler railway that connected Key West to the mainland Florida and is now part of the iconic Keys 100 race. Many have tried to complete this 200 journey but none have yet to succeed.
