This is a route originally made as a Catholic pilgrimage route in order to honor Catholics that were persecuted. It is intended to start at the Catholic church near the Nakdong river and end at the Hanti Martyr's Shrine however the route as presented here is backward. In other words, start at the Hanti Martyr's Shrine and finish at the Catholic church near the Nakdong river. There is a small loop (a little over a kilometer) at the Martyr's Shrine that is included as part of the route.
The Dakobed Infinity Loop*, or Glacier Peak Infinity Loop, is an extension of Chad Kellogg's Infinity Loop concept to Glacier Peak, a stratovolcano deep in the heart of the North Cascades. It offers a magnificent challenge and an epic tour of one of the Cascade’s finest peaks. This is not a casual trail run.
This is a very special route. Starting at either the north or south terminus, the track winds through the NZ jungle-ish forest. Partly on ridgelines with occasional views over the countryside, occasionally following the river, some smoothly runable, some ladders and lots of roots. An uninturrupled length of trail. The north end is more heavily trafficked but the trail (with a backup nav) is well marked the whole way.
There should be a decent amount of water in many of the streams most of the year with the only exception being late summer.
