The Octagon Parish is made up of eight villages with churches: Stansted, Racton, Stoughton, East Marden, North Marden, Compton and Forestside and two villages without churches: West Marden and Walderton. Blessed with wonderful walks and and fine views down to the south coast, its small ancient downland churches are noted for their spiritual peace and tranquility, some dating back to the saxon times.

A route that will take you through 14 parks and trails throughout Ames Iowa. I created this course to run through all of the major parks in Ames as well as some of its paved trails and past the IA State football stadium (Jack Trice Stadium). It really shows off how Ames has connected all of their parks without hitting a lot of traffic and at the same time seeing some beautiful parts of the city.

Whitegate Way

An ideal traffic-free link from Winsford to Cuddington, near Delamere Forest Park. Shady wooded cuttings contrast with sunny open embankments, offering spectacular views over the Cheshire countryside. The Whitegate railway line carried salt for almost 100 years, from the mines along the west bank of the River Weaver up to Cuddington where it joined the Chester - Manchester line.

This is an iconic hike for Central Oregon. Bend area mountain/trail runners make heavy use of it for hill training. Don’t forget to enjoy the views on the way back down!
