This is a point to point challenge in which the runner crosses the length of the Blackstairs, a mountain range in the southeast of Ireland. The runner chooses their route between each summit/checkpoint. Depending on route choice, the challenge is approximately 30k/1700m.  Runner's can start at Ballinalor/Drummond Rd in Carlow and finish at The Halfway House Pub in Wexford (North to South) or start at The Halfway House in Wexford and finish in Carlow at Ballinalor/Drummond Rd (South to North) . Separate records are kept for each direction.

This is the trail run variant of the classic ski tour around the Sella Massif.  The trail runs through the towns of Selva, Corvara, Arabba and close to Canazei allowing to start in any of these villages. Best of all, it's a Marathon distance !
