Langdon Hills Ridge (United Kingdom)
Starts: Gate at the entrance to Vange Hill Local Nature Reserve. End: Gate from car park at Essex Wildlife Trust Langdon reserve. Visits four trig points on the Langdon Hills ridge (Vange Hill Observation post, Hawkesbury Bush, One Tree Hill and the Beacon at Westley Heights, the latter instead of the TP at the Water Tower, which can't be reached).
Shingobee Connection Trail (MN)
The Shingobee Connection Trail is a paved trail in northern Minnesota. It connects two of Minnesota’s long rail-trails, the Paul Bunyan Trail and the Heartland State Trail. It also provides a spur from the North Country National Scenic Trail into Walker. The trail opened in 2014 and travels through the small town of Walker and the Chippewa National Forest. “Shingobee” is an Ojibwe word for “evergreen.” The trail goes through red and white pine forest, as well as spruce, hemlock, fir, cypress and cedar. It stays close to the shore of beautiful Leech Lake for a few miles.
Murgleiter (Germany)
The „Murgleiter“ runs along the Murg Valley from the city Gaggenau via Gernsbach, Forbach and Baiersbronn to the Schliffkopf, once lengthways through the northern Black Forest. It has been listed as a premium trail since 2008 and is elected as one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Germany. The total length of 110 kilometers is divided into five stages whereat each of them consist of multiple technically demanding climbs and downhills to many popular locations of this area.
