This loop is a very popular cycling route in Northern Thailand, but this FKT is for running. It is all paved road and goes around, Doi Suthep, the main mountain in Chiang Mai. The first 14 miles are nearly completely flat as you head north through the city. Then, once through the city, you turn west and start to climb. It is then a more or less continuous climb until 28.5 miles. Then, you go mostly downhill, with some steep climbs throughout, until you finish back at the bottom. 53 miles of mostly quiet mountain road and beautiful scenery.
