Riding and Running on trails is more connected than you know! The Western States 100 originally was a horse race, not a running race. And this year Susie Kramer did both, with one of the fastest combined times ever. With a broken toe, after her horse stepped on it.
"I guess some scar tissue had formed, so the pain wasn't too bad."
Yeah, endurance horse riders are tough.

weULTRA's Bridge-2-Bridge route is 103 miles long and starts under the international crossing at the BlueWater Bridge in Sarnia, Ontario connecting Canada and the United States. This is where the mouth of the St Clair River meets Lake Huron.

Chena Dome Trail (AK)
This 29-mile loop trail circles the entire Angel Creek drainage. Mile markers travel in a counterclockwise direction from the upper trailhead. Each end of the trail travels through forest for about three miles up to timberline. The rest of the trail follows tundra ridge tops and is marked by rock cairns. Each trailhead offers steep but scenic day hikes, and the entire loop is a good 2-4 day trip for backpackers.
