Fimmvorduhals Trail (Iceland)
The route across Fimmvörðuháls lies between two glaciers, Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull, and connects Skógar to Þórsmörk.
This is one of the most popular hiking trails in Iceland.
The route is mostly single track trail but with some sections on rough gravel roads. The highest point of the route is at around 1100 m above sea level. At the highest point the route passes by two craters which were formed in an eruption in year 2010 called Magni and Móði.

Oyster Dome (WA)
The Oyster Dome Trail is a classic route in Blanchard State Forest, just South of Bellingham Washington. The trail starts off the iconic Chuckanut Drive and climbs 2000ft in just over 3 miles to the Oyster Dome Summit. From the Summit you have an outstanding view over looking Samish Bay and into the San Jan Islands. The trail consists of both technical and non-technical sections as well as some steep inclines. During the winter months you'll find plenty of water sources and possible snow at the top but during the summer the dry is mostly dry.
