The route follows the course of the River Cerne, from near its source in the basin formed by the hills of High Stoy and Dogbury to its confluence with the Frome, in the water meadows below Charminster. The Trail can be started at any point but starting from Dorchester will enable you to walk the entire length of the trail. Parking is available at public car parks in Dorchester Town Centre.

Description

This route was created by Ed Gwynne-Harris:  "The reason I wanted to create this round was to try and encourage ultra runners to come to the Brecon Beacons National Park, which is where I grew up and an area I feel is underappreciated and underrepresented in the ultra running world. I am creating a film with The North Face about the FKT which will be released at film festivals throughout 2021 & 2022.
