Green Lakes Perimeter (NY)

My favorite route to run at Green Lakes State Park, a NYS hidden gem.  You'll run through Old Growth forest, classic upland forest, through expansive meadows/grasslands with distant views and of course, by the parks two stunning glacial lakes, for which the park is named. Park (free) at the small parking area off of Route 290 (aka Green Lakes Rd) just after the intersection of Route 290 and N Manlius St. Google maps has this parking lot marked as 'Green Lakes Perimeter Trail'. Start/stop your run and watch at the fence (purple trail). I went counterclockwise on this route.

Tollhouse Traverse (CA)

Description

Tollhouse Rock is a 600' granite dome located about an hour northeast of Fresno, at 4000' in the foothills between Fresno and Shaver Lake. A stellar winter weekend destination (or day trip for us locals), it has some of everything -- sport routes, multipitch trad and runout face, and a little bouldering. The views of the Sierra and the valleys unfolding below the dome are fabulous, and definitely make a belay on top of another stellar pitch all the more enjoyable.

Bishop Bennet Way (United Kingdom)

Description

The Bishop Bennet Way is a route in south west Cheshire, England. It is named after William Bennet (1745–1820), Bishop of Cork and Ross (1790–1794) and subsequently Bishop of Cloyne (1794–1820), who carried out detailed surveys of Roman roads including those between Deva (Chester) and Mediolanum (Whitchurch). The way starts near Beeston Castle then heads west towards Aldford, Farndon and then south via Malpas and to his final destination at Wirswall on the Cheshire–Shropshire border. There are hopes to extend it to Shrewsbury.
