Western Maryland Rail Trail (MD)
The Western Maryland Rail Trail is a paved route that runs parallel to the C&O Canal in Western Maryland. The route begins in Big Pool, MD - in 2019, it was extended from 22 miles to 28 miles, ending in Little Orleans, MD.
Between Mile Markers 24 and 27, the Indigo Tunnel is permanently by-passed by using ramps to the C&O Canal Towpath. The by-pass is two miles long due to a bend in the Potomac River. The surface of the towpath is for the most part an even hard-packed dirt trail.

Imperial Palace Circumnavigation (Tokyo, Japan)
Likely the most popular running route in all of Japan. Some races have been held, and likely there have been some very fast times. Note that runners must go counter-clockwise.

McMillan's Track
The McMillan track is a 220km walk traversing the southern end of the Victorian Alps in Australia.
The historic track follows the footsteps of Angus McMillan who, in 1864, set out to cut a track to link the goldfields together in the Gippsland region. The track had virtually vanished from memory and sight but was remapped and reinstated by the hard work of local club, the Ben Cruachan Walking Club over a 20 year period. It was officially reopened in 1988.
