Mt. Misery via Fairhaven Trail

Description

This loop is one of Concord’s most beautiful routes, weaving through shaded forest, small streams, and ponds near Walden Pond. It is well-marked and fun to run, with varied terrain that keeps you moving and paying attention.

The trail passes river views, the ruins of an old stone chimney, and an old boathouse tucked into the trees. Moving from Adam Woods toward Mt. Misery, the landscape opens into pastures where cows sometimes graze. The short climb to the summit adds a burst of effort before the trail drops back into quiet woods.
