Stretching from Oakham in Rutland to Knettishall Heath in Breckland, the path crosses a varied landscape of rolling countryside, ancient woodland, fenland, and historic villages. The route reflects the story of resistance after the Norman Conquest and offers runners a rich mix of history, wildlife, and expansive rural scenery.
Iceni Way (UK)
The Iceni Way is a historic long-distance footpath in East Anglia, tracing ancient routes once used by the Iceni tribe, led by Queen Boudicca. Stretching for around 85 miles through Norfolk and Suffolk, the trail passes through quiet farmland, river valleys, heathland, and nature reserves. Along the way, walkers encounter rich wildlife, prehistoric and Roman sites, medieval villages, and wide open landscapes that reflect the deep history and natural beauty of the region.
