Il Giro di Viso è un classico percorso escursionistico che attraversa Italia e Francia, ruotando intorno al Monviso, una delle montagne più iconiche dell’arco alpino. Il percorso venne completato per la prima volta già nel 1839 ma è a partire dagli anni settanta che inizia a suscitare interesse nel mondo dell’escursionismo, diventando poi il tracciato per gare di Trail e di competizioni scialpinistiche.

Oggi entrambe le competizioni non vengono più organizzate, ma rimane negli appassionati il piacere di frequentare il percorso in maniera rapida e leggera.

The Rev Round is an epic trail run around Revelstoke BC connecting 2 major traverses in Revelstoke; Mt Macpherson, Mt Tilly, Mt Begbie, Mt Cartier, Ghost Mt and Mckenzie Mt, summiting all 6 mountains and connecting the 2 routes by canoe over the Columbia River. The First party to complete the traverse started in town and finished in town on foot but the GPX file shows that starting the route at Macpherson XC trails and finishing at the bottom of the ski hill would be the way to do the FKT unless you want to start and end at your house!
