Granite Canyon and Teton Crest Trail Loop is a 56.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Moose, Wyoming that features a lake and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking and backpacking and is best used from June until September.
A popular section of the Long Trail near Burlington, which is the highest population of the state. It runs the ridge line between Mount Mansfield and Bolton Mountain. The views are classic Vermont. It is the most rugged section of the Long trail and is easily accessible by most people from the Burlington area by using the access trail from West Bolton. It ends on mount Mansfield, which is Vermont’s highest peak, and cuts down to the Underhill state park. 12 of the 14 miles is the Long Trail, with short access trails to get on and off at easy access points.
Anfangs- und Endpunkte des Fernwanderweges sind die ehemaligen Herzogs- und heutigen Kreisstädte Plön und Eutin, deren Schlösser die Orte prägen. Die fast 55 km lange Strecke über Bösdorf, Malente, Schönwalde und Kasseedorf vermittelt dem Läufer das wunderschöne Landschaftsbild des Naturparkes Holsteinische Schweiz und einen Eindruck von dessen artenreichen Natur. Oft naturnahe Wege führen an Seeufern und Bachtälern entlang, durch Wald und Feld, über hügelige Abschnitte bis zum höchsten Gipfel Schleswig-Holsteins, dem Bungsberg (168m), sowie durch kleine Dörfer und Ausflugsorte.
