This route involves ascending Germany's highest mountain "Zugspitze", followed by traversing "Jubiläumsgrat" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubil%C3%A4umsgrat) towards "Alpspitze" and then descending back to the valley (Hammersbach). 

Route has to start and end at "Hammbersbach Wanderparkplatz P2". Routes up to "Zugspitze" and down from "Alpspitze" may differ. Route of "Jubiläumsgrat" must be accurate. 

This loop combines the routes of several races put on by the Berkshire Ultra Runninng Community for Service; one of the original routes followed by the Hancock Shaker Village 50 and two different courses followed by runners in the Free To Run trail races.  The route utilizes approximately 10 miles of the Taconic Crest Trail, including the infamous "Thrasher" climb right around mile 5.  The route is a combination of singletrack (TCT) and some trails used primarily by ATVs (the Taconic Skyline trail).  Small road section (~0.1 miles) to simplify the linkage between the TCT and Skyline.  The r
