Saline Valley is located in the northwest of Death Valley and it lies in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada Range and the Inyo Mountains bordering the valley on the west. Access to the valley is only by dirt roads with the two main routes being the North Pass (Big Pine) and the South Pass (Panamint). 

Traversée des Aravis en mode Trail running en restant toujours au plus prêt des arêtes, mais sans jamais tomber dans l'alpinisme. Parcours engagé techniquement, aérien, la majorité du parcours hors sentiers, mais magnifique.

Départ du village de Romme, et Arrivée au refuge des Fontanettes au pied du dernier sommet (le Mont-Charvin)
