Standing on Banff Avenue, on a clear day, you can see three of the region’s iconic peaks: Cascade, Rundle and Sulphur. Summiting all three of these mountains in under 24 hours – starting and ending at The North Face store – has become the Banff Three Peaks Challenge. That’s 25,419 feet of elevation gain in just one day, and a distance of 70 kilometres when athletes run from peak to peak.

The Grand Valley Trail is 275 km long and runs from Rock Point Provincial Park on Lake Erie which is south of Dunnville to Alton not far from 

The West Coast Trail runs about 80km along the Pacific coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, from Port Renfrew to Bamfield. www.westcoasttrail.com says, "It has the reputation of being one of the most grueling treks in North America. It is isolated, strenuous, physically challenging and potentially hazardous.

The Juan De Fuca Marine Trail is a 47 km shoreline trail on the south-west coast of Vancouver Island. Starting just south of Port Renfrew at Botanical Beach, this trail winds itself down the coast ending at China beach. Typically done as a hike in 3-4 days.
