Salt Spring Island is the largest and most populous of British Columbia’s Gulf Islands. Formed over two glacial periods with ice receding only 12,000 years ago, the island landscape is marked by deposits of glacial minerals and steep hills.

The Salt Spring Island Sea to Summit begins with a foot in the sea followed by a 2,339ft. climb up steep gravel slopes to the island’s high point, Bruce Peak.
