Route 50 Nevada West to East, The Lonliest Road In America. Route 50 across Nevada starts at gorgeous Lake Tahoe and then takes you through desolate high dessert. Expansive views of sage brush dotted plains and high mountain peaks take your breath away while views of the stars and milky way wow you at night. Distances of up to 76mi between towns with no services keep this route extremely challenging. The route is rich with history and also follows a long section of the pony express route.
