Eine Wanderung durch die Geologie, Kultur und Natur, rund um den Kurort Bad Bentheim im Landkreis Grafschaft Bentheim liefert eine Zeitreise. Wir folgen dem Hammer des Steinhauers. Start und Ziel ist das Geologische Freilichtmuseum am Romberg, nördlich des Ortsteils Gildehaus, das auch als „Perle der Grafschaft" bezeichnet wird, mit dem einzig verbliebenen, aktiven Sandsteinbruch der Grafschaft. Steinbruch, Burg Bentheim, Wäldchen und Flurlandschaft prägen die Wanderung.

La Trans’Alpes est un parcours officiel reliant le lac Léman à la mer Méditerranée. Un topo-guide a été publié en 2010 par Jérôme Bonneaux aux éditions du Mont Rouch. C’est un parcours sauvage et original qui évolue majoritairement entre 2 000 m et 3 000 m, à travers des cols peu fréquentés, le long de la frontière franco-italienne puis franco-suisse. Cet itinéraire est inspiré de la célèbre Haute Route des Pyrénées (HRP). « Au-dessus des GR, en dessous des glaciers », telle est la devise de cette traversée titanesque, mais ô combien magnifique !

Start at the Mt Washington trailhead, which is nearby the mt ellinor trailheads. 
it starts off super steep and stays that way the entire time. It starts forested, then there is a scree field crossing. After that, there is another short forested section before coming into a meadow. Then, you continue on another scree field, before starting the scrambling section. You walk up a switchback, and then walk along the ridge for a little while. When almost at the summit, stay right and go around the right side of a boulder, and then the summit is right there.
