Sugarloaf Mountain is a Registered Natural Landmark and a standout in central Maryland due to its unique geology as a monadnock, a mountain created by erosion of the surrounding land. Not only that, it’s a rare gem where you can get this kind of elevation gain less than an hour’s drive from DC/Baltimore. 

Classic route in the foothills of colorado. This loop connects sections of the Colorado trail Roxborough State Park and surrounding areas. The challenge to this loop is it’s rolling hills and late stage climbs in the counterclockwise direction. It brings the best of Colorado front Range trail running with smooth single track and rocky terrain mix with great views and lush pine trees. Challenging yet fun at the same time.
