Description

Park/Start/End at the gate entrance of Tom Mays Unit at Franklin Mountains State Park.  Run to East El Paso from West El Paso while enjoying the beautiful scenery on the Eastside and Westside of Franklin Mountains State Park.  Most of the trail is rocky with some dirt and there's a possibility you'll come across a rattlesnake.  Enjoy a combination of flat segments, moderate inclines/declines, and some steep sections.  The rugged terrain and lack of shade creates a trail less traveled.  But you may run into a few hikers and mountain bikers along your way.  The first 10 miles will be on the W
