The route traverses San Francisco's peninsula from SFO Airport to the Golden Gate Bridge (or reverse).

Clock starts with a hand on SFO's Terminal G then head north on McDonnell Road before turning west onto San Bruno Avenue. North onto Huntington Avenue and continue on Mission Road and El Camino Real then north on San Diego Avenue before crossing under Interstate 280 via St Charles Avenue. Turn north onto Highway 1 all the way to the Presidio then west on Lake Street and north on Lincoln to the Golden Gate Bridge.

The route connects the Bremerton Ferry Terminal and the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal. These terminals carry over 9 million passengers annually for Washington State Ferries, making them two of the busiest ferry routes in America and the world.
