Chiemsee Umrundung (Germany)

Description

The Chiemsee is the third largest lake in Germany and the largest in Bavaria. Bavarians call it also the "Bavarian Sea" due its size. It is famous for the castle on Herrenchiemsee build by King Ludwig II. and beautiful located close to the Bavarian alps. On sunny days, it provides splendid views on the mountain with blue skies.

Sustrans Waterlink Way (United Kingdom)

Description

The route connects a number of attractive parks and green spaces in South East London, while following the Pool and Ravensbourne Rivers. It follows parts of the well-waymarked Waterlink Way, the London-part of the National Cycle Network Route connecting Eastbourne to the Thames. Large stretches of those rivers have in recent years been re-naturalised or at least sympathetically embedded in landscaped linear parks such as Ladywell Fields and Brookmill Park.

Description

This is a one-of-a-kind, uninterrupted historic route from the waterfront of the Nation's Capital to the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers at Harpers Ferry - a National Historical Park at the tri-state area of West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia. This route starts at the revitalized DC Wharf and begins through the monuments of Washington, DC and Georgetown Waterfront.

Plott Balsam Range Traverse (NC)

Description

This route connects the contiguous summits of the Plott Balsam Range that are accessible to the public via trail.  Those summits being Blackrock Mountain, Yellow Face Mountain, Waterrock Knob, Browning Knob, Mount Lyn Lowry, and Plott Balsam Mountain.  Note that the Plott Balsam Range continues to the southwest, but Pinnacle Bald and Perry Top are trail-less.  Many people use the latter part of this trail to cover 4 of the 40 peaks for The South Beyond 6k Challenge (SB6K).  By linking 4 miles to the start, I extended the route to Pinnacle Park in Sylva, making for an almost 8k in vert in le
